CEE-Cultural Community Explosion Experience was sponsored by I.A.M. and a grant from the City of Austin. It was a explosive community event where we exposed the community to our rich African American culture. We had a variety of creative art expressions where many local gospel artist were able to have a platform to share their artistic talents. We had traditional gospel music where various musicians, bands, choirs, recording artist, dancers, rappers , poets came together to have a awesome jam session.
We also had traditional African dance, food, and music. On Saturday, we were privileged to have various professionals to come and conduct Creative writing workshops, Art Workshops and a Music and Dance Workshop. We were able to help many participants improve their gifts and talents. One of my passions is to help people utilize their gifts and talents to the greatest potential.
One of the highlights of the community event was the taste of soul where we had about 20 soul food entrees that was so delectable. We were able to support local businesses like Tony’s Jamaican, Popeyes and many local caterers giving them exposure with the hopes that their businesses will gain new customers and patronage.
